With a humorous twist, Spa Day is inspired by the communal spirit of home cooked meals. Chickens’ feet are frequently included in our soups; and we dip them into the classic combination of chilli padi and soy sauce to enjoy.

According to my parents, chickens’ feet were eaten by the elders while the rest of the chicken was shared amongst children in the past when poultry was scarce—a quiet display of love to save the best for our future generations.
